Elephant - Faced Lord Gajanana is the leader of deities and He is Lord of obstacles and darling son of Mother Parvati. He is auspicious and confers success and good fortune. There are eight places of pilgrimage in India (in Maharastra state) where He is worshipped, - popularly known as "Astha Vinayaka".
